XVII. harmony byrne: eagle eyes
das letzten drittel unserer adventlichen musik-reise hat bereits angefangen. wie geht’s dir bisher dabei? ich freu mich auf nachrichen mit resonanz(en). egal auf welchem weg, beispielsweise hier. egal in welcher ausprägung, ob’s an- oder aufregt – alles ist willkommen. ❤️🔥 die für heute ausgewählte künstlerin kenne ich erst seit kurzem. wie einige musikschaffende, die ich besonders im herz hab, kommt sie aus australien. harmony byrne hab ich in einer unterstützenden rolle im song des 23. türchens angetroffen – du musst noch kli warten, bis du sie dort hören kannst ;-) ihre stimme hat mich gwundrig gemacht. deshalb ich mich in ihr vielfältiges œuvre begeben und dort adleraugen gefunden. ein lied übers begehren. mit pumpender und treibender basslinie in den strophen und einem zwischenteil, der einen unerwarteten raum eröffent. und immer wieder mit verspielte perkussion. 🪵 ebenfalls empfohlen sei ihr langspieldebut heavy doors. dort verpackt sie die themen tragödie, spiritualität, depression, angst, sucht und selbstbefreiung in stilvolle kleider von rsych-rock über blues, alt-country, folk und pop bis hin zu gospel. unverfälscht ehrlich.

the last third of our musical advent journey has already begun. how are you doing so far? forward i look to hearing your resonance(s), no matter how you choose to share it, for example here. no matter what form it takes, whether it excites or upsets you – everything is welcome. ❤️🔥 only recently i discovered today’s featured artist. like some of the musicians who are particularly close to my heart, she comes from australia. i encountered harmony byrne in a supporting role in the song from the 23rd door – you’ll have to wait a little longer to hear her there ;-) her voice intrigued me. that's why i delved into her diverse oeuvre and found eagle eyes there. a song about desire. with a pumping and driving bass line in the verses and an interlude that opens up an unexpected space. and again and again playful percussion. 🪵 her debut album heavy doors is also recommend. there she wraps the themes of tragedy, spirituality, depression, fear, addiction, and self-liberation in stylish clothes ranging from psychedelic rock to blues, alt-country, folk, pop, and gospel. unadulterated honesty.
